«I was the best, I knew I was and I knew I had to prove it every minute. […] Working in such a place meant being placed on a horizontal axis of hierarchy, there was the possibility of emerging thanks to one's talent. The maximum I could aspire to, as a woman. However, there was always someone who reminded me of that, the fact of being a woman. […] In reality I was the best possible woman and man at that moment.»

(by G. Greison The atomic bomb woman. The forgotten story of Leona Woods, the physicist who worked with Oppenheimer, Mondadori 2024)

Physics goes on the stage, with a story not anymore forgotten thanks to the writer, actress, science communicator, trained in nuclear physics, Gabriella Greison.

It is a show based on her latest book The atomic bomb woman. The forgotten story of Leona Woods, the physicist who worked with Oppenheimer (Mondadori 2024): a smaller version will be proposed compared to the one currently on tour, to also allow a short space for a dialogue with the audience in the room.

Gabriella Greison herself, in fact, constitutes a story to tell, the one that led her to the definition of "rock star of physics", for her intense dissemination work on various media, from television to radio, from podcasts to books (let's just remember, considering a topic that is close to her heart, Six women who changed the world Boringhieri, 2017).
