“A relay of female talents. Young women who help the students who come after them to realize their dreams, to live the opportunities that they have not lacked. To put it with a metaphor, “a community”, a small town “in pink” where people grow together in the years of transition from youth to adult life. And those who take flight, do not forget those who still have to do so. It happens at the Collegio Nuovo in Pavia, institution that is part of the network of University Colleges of Merit, spread across 57 Italian cities. Non-profit organizations, recognized by the Ministry of University and Research (Mur), where students, in addition to receiving room and board, follow a training program parallel to their university studies and oriented towards the development of soft skills, preparation for the world of work and international mobility. You enter through a competition, regardless of income. In Pavia, thanks to the Alumnae Association, those who graduate and leave the institution, freely give a contribution, to support the study and professional path of the girls who are still studying. Contribution that translates into prizes or scholarships: from 2005 to today they have helped 165 young people”.
