Message from the Rector

The best place where talented college students can pursue their passions and build their future together. An innovative, interdisciplinary and international context, where the key words are merit, sharing, openness and friendship.

The Collegio Nuovo (literally "New College"), which is located in the heart of the vast scientific and technological park of the University of Pavia, welcomes students enrolled in all Faculties: they are motivated girls, to whom the College offers the tools and opportunities to obtain a university degree in a short time and with the best results.

As Rector, a role that was entrusted to me by the Founder herself Sandra Bruni Mattei, I had the privilege of accompanying the training of hundreds of Italian and foreign "Nuovine" (Collegio Nuovo students), I saw them undertake successful careers, I followed their social and cultural commitment: I am more convinced than ever that the experience of life in a community like ours, which favors talent, motivation, transversality and constant dialogue, has contributed significantly to their growth and affirmation.

In the "Collegi" in Pavia, girls and boys learn to live together, in a free environment, and become autonomous. When they leave they are already adults, perfectly capable of facing the challenges of life and the world of work. In my opinion, this is the added value that distinguishes collegians, and it is certainly no small thing.

In my work I am assisted by a small and well-tested staff, by the Student Deans and by the "senior" students, as well as by the Alumnae Association. You can also find the story of the College's activities, the projects and experiences of the Nuovine in the pages of "Nuovità", our annual magazine.
