
In a year still marked by the conversion of activities to remote mode, the College continues to adapt its training program: so far over 350 hours have been offered to the collegiate community (not counting the hours of applications and exercises, as well as those of tutoring and coaching ) as part of the non-formal training activity provided for by the MIUR Decree of 8 September 2016, nr. 673. Collaboration with other Italian merit colleges and with the Pavia collegiate system has also been intensified. The Collegio Nuovo also offers preparatory training support, encouraging the internationalization of the students of the Graduate Section also with dedicated meetings and orientation activities.
CAREER MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Edited by Maria Assunta Zanetti (University of Pavia – Course Manager and Trainer) – Trainers: Maria Santa Ferretti (Course Coordinator), Paola Roberta Ferrari and Valentina Percivalle. The course is divided into theoretical, laboratory and application meetings with the aim of placing the students (enrolled in three-year, master's or single-cycle degree courses), divided by year of study, in the position of (1) being able to identify their own abilities, skills, interests to make informed decisions, not only in the context of university education, (2) provide them with a wealth of skills necessary for managing their personal life paths. Assessment phases are also planned by Kolbrain.
TUTORING AND COACHING
- Tutoring (for freshmen and first years of study) – by senior students, in all areas of study. The service, of which Ludovica Cerati (Alumna) is responsible, develops throughout the academic year (individual sessions and small groups) with the aim of facilitating female students in the learning and study organization phases in order to optimize their academic results. Tutoring activities are also provided for students of the last years as well as for graduates of the section.
- Coaching – supervised by the Rector of the Collegio Nuovo, Paola Bernardi. The service develops throughout the academic year (individual or collective meetings) and aims to accompany and support the students of the Graduate Residence to achieve their study objectives, also with regard to their international and professional projects.
PROTAGONISTS OF CULTURE AND PROFESSIONS
The cycle, although open to the public (online, on the Zoom platform and live on Facebook), is aimed primarily at the student community of the College and the Section. Furthermore, from this year, recognition as a training activity has been extended, upon proposal of the New College, by the Conference of Colleges of Merit to all member colleges. The College has also been a partner in initiatives which have seen the protagonists, among others Silvio Garattini, founder of the “Mario Negri” Pharmacological Research Institute e Olive Rose President of the Network for Equality.
