There are three students of the Collegio Nuovo who have been awarded the prestigious scholarships of the 2024 edition Ermenegildo Zegna Foundation Founder's Scholarship, an initiative that finances specialization studies abroad by particularly deserving students selected from various Italian universities, with the commitment for them to return to Italy and contribute to the development of their country.
She is a master's degree student in Physics and IUSS graduate (Maria Clara Corda) and two graduate students in Medicine (Manuela Bartolacci e Giulia Tresoldi, both of which are also already involved in the MEET inter-university path, Medicine Enhanced by Engineering Technology, which involves not only the universities of Pavia and Pisa, but also the IUSS and Sant'Anna high schools).
Maria Clara Corda he will study at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris for a climate physics project; Manuela Bartolacci e Giulia Tresoldi they will return overseas, to the USA, where they had already been for medical and research internships at Yale and NYU respectively thanks to Katerina Politi and Marina Cerrone, Alumnae of the College. Manuela Bartolacci this time will be at the Emergency Department of the Mayo Clinic, Giulia Tresoldi at the Boston Children's Hospital (Harvard Medical School) in the Division of Genetics/Genomics.
All three students were recognized again this year by the Collegio Nuovo Alumnae Association for their brilliant paths and projects: Maria Clara Corda was awarded a grant for the internship in Paris; Manuela Bartolacci won the 2024 Alumnae Association Award, intended for a graduating student and, together with Giulia Tresoldi e Marianna Zarro, also the SAPRAI 2024 Award promoted by Alumna Lara Princisvalle together with Eugenio Paglino.
